Double Interlocked Pre-action System is a specially designed system for critical areas like server rooms, data centers, etc. where high value items and machines are stored.

This system is a combination of sprinkler system and conventional/ intelligent addressable fire detection system. Water is the main extinguishing agent in involved.

As water is the media for extinguishing, it is very important to make sure that it is discharged only in case of a real fire. Double Interlock delays the discharge of water. In case of a false alarm by detectors, the first lock prevents the discharge of water and in case of mechanical damage to the sprinkler bulb the second lock prevents the discharge of water.

Only when one detector is actuated and a sprinkler bulb is broken will the system discharge water.

Manual abort/release switch are provided to override the automatic system in case of malfunctioning.

Sprinklers, deluge valves, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure gauges, pressure switches, pump sets, air compressor, detectors and control panel are the main components involved in this system.

This system is most suited for software and health care facilities.
