Foam is a highly effective extinguishing
agent consisting of water, foaming agent
(concentrate) and air. The air content determines
the foam type and changes its characteristics.
Extinguishing foam uses different extinguishing
effects and changes their characteristics:
cooling, suffocating, separating, covering,
restraining and displacing. Used alone or
together they provide a quick extinguishing
success.
Foam
extinguishing systems are used for fire
classification A and B fires of solid and
liquid substances and to a limited extent
for fire classification C fires of gaseous
substances.
For the foam production a stable foaming
agent percentage is added to the water flow
with admixture devices. Generally the produced
mixture of water and foaming agent is foamed
with air in subsequent foam generators.

Foam/water
gun
Foam/water guns are mainly used
for fighting fires from a safe distance and for
preventive cooling of objects in danger of fire.
Depending on the type, the foam/water gun can
be manually, electrically or hydraulically aimed
at the corresponding target with a remote control.
It can either be equipped with a water jet pipe
for use with water only or with a foam/water jet
pipe as well as multipurpose nozzles for the alternating
use of foam and water.
Range
of application
Hazardous material storages,
petrol chemistry, aircraft hangars, chemical industry,
oil refineries, laboratories, large garages etc.
